The Capello QUASAR corn head was designed to bring corn in and destroy all excess material. The Augers on the outer edges help bring in fallen over corn stalks, while the auger in the center brings the cobs into the feeder house of the combine. The chains and deck plates are made of hardened steel for long life and strength. Under the header, the integrated stalk chopper drive system naturally feed corn stalks into the knife rollers and stalk chopping blades, leaving nothing but corn stalk confetti in its place. The angles of the design allow a clean hop and prevent power loss and windrowing. Breaking down the stalks to this degree allows them to be broken down into organic matter and provide a much more efficient planting area in the spring.
